Terms & conditions
The terms that apply when you order an Aqeeqa, Qurbani, Sadaqah or Fidyah sacrifice from Sunnah Slaughter.
Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to every order placed with Sunnah Slaughter ("we", "us"), based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, whether you order through the builder on this website, on WhatsApp, by email or by phone. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you pay: support@sunnahslaughter.com or +1 647 375 5714 on WhatsApp.
The service
We arrange a halal sacrifice on your behalf for Aqeeqa, Qurbani, Sadaqah or Fidyah, performed by a Muslim, in the name of Allah, on a healthy animal of the required age, with the names you give us spoken aloud. We then send you a video of the sacrifice and distribute the meat to people in need. The sacrifice is performed in Kenya by our team there, and the meat is distributed to families in need in Kenya.
Orders and confirmation
You place an order by paying for it on our website, by card or by Interac e-Transfer. A card order is confirmed when the payment goes through, and an e-Transfer order when the transfer reaches us. We send the confirmation to the WhatsApp number you give us. A message sent on WhatsApp, by email or by phone is a question or a request, not an order. When no animals are available we put bookings on hold: the website says so and takes no payments. If we cannot perform an order you have paid for, we offer you a new date or a full refund.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars and are the prices shown on this website when you place your order. Your card statement shows the charge as SUNNAH SLAUGHTER. The price covers the animal, the halal sacrifice, your video and distribution of the meat. There are no additional fees unless we tell you about them before you pay.
Payment is due when you place your order, on our payment page: by card through Stripe, or by Interac e-Transfer to the address shown on that page, with the reference from that page in the message. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. For a card payment, the receipt from Stripe and the reference on our thank-you page are your proof of payment; for an e-Transfer, your bank's confirmation and the reference are. We schedule the sacrifice once the payment has arrived. Prices on the website may change at any time, but a confirmed and paid order keeps its price.
Names and details
You are responsible for the spelling and accuracy of the names, the date of birth and any other details you give us; we read them as written. You can correct or change them at no cost at any time before the sacrifice. We cannot change a video after the sacrifice has been performed.
Dates and timing
A preferred date is a request. We tell you the actual date on WhatsApp. Qurbani is performed after the Eid prayer on the days of Eid al-Adha, which depend on the sighting of the moon and may move by a day. For an Aqeeqa we aim for the seventh day after birth when you tell us the date of birth, and otherwise the nearest suitable day. If we cannot perform the sacrifice on the confirmed date, we will offer a new date or a full refund.
Video proof
We aim to send the video to your WhatsApp number or email address within 24 to 48 hours of the sacrifice. If we are late, tell us and we will send it as soon as possible. The video is private: we send it only to you and never post it publicly. It is yours to keep and share as you wish.
Cancellations, refunds and card disputes
You may cancel at any time before the sacrifice is performed for a full refund of what you paid, for any reason. To cancel, use the refund page with the reference from your receipt, message us on WhatsApp or email support@sunnahslaughter.com. We acknowledge every request within one business day and give you a ticket number. Refunds are returned by the same method you paid with: card refunds go back to the same card through Stripe, e-Transfers to the account they came from, normally within five to ten business days.
Once the sacrifice has been performed, the order cannot be refunded, because the animal has been sacrificed in your name and the meat distributed. If we failed to deliver what was confirmed, the section "Our responsibility" below applies.
Card disputes. Because you can always obtain a refund from us directly before the sacrifice, please contact us before asking your card issuer to reverse a payment. If a chargeback is opened for an order that we performed as confirmed, we will contest it and provide the card network with the video of the sacrifice, the WhatsApp or email confirmation of your date and names, and the Stripe payment record as evidence. If a payment was duplicated, tell us and we refund the duplicate immediately.
The meat
All of the meat is distributed to families in need in Kenya, where the sacrifice is performed. Nothing is sold, and because the meat stays in Kenya we cannot deliver a portion to you.
Cows
A cow is sold whole; we do not sell individual shares. One order is one whole cow. For Qurbani a whole cow may carry up to seven names, which you provide when you order.
Religious guidance
We perform the sacrifice according to the Sunnah as described on this website. Rulings on Aqeeqa, Qurbani, Sadaqah and Fidyah can differ between schools of thought, and we are not a religious authority. Please consult a qualified scholar for your own situation, including whether Fidyah applies to you. The Quran and hadith translations on this site are approximate.
Our responsibility
We will perform the service with care and as described. If we fail to perform a confirmed and paid sacrifice, our responsibility is limited to performing it on a new date or refunding what you paid. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as weather, animal availability, the moon sighting, or outages of WhatsApp, email or payment services, but in those cases we will still reschedule or refund as described above. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under the consumer protection laws of Ontario or of your province or state.
This website
The website is provided as it is. We try to keep the information, including prices and the expected date of Eid, accurate and current, but we may correct errors at any time. The site links to services run by others, such as WhatsApp, which have their own terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If there is a problem, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page when we confirm your order is the one that applies to it. This version is dated 3 November 2026.
